PAINT OUT DAYS

Painting/Sketching days in suitable places. Most are untutored, free and, hopefully, you will find some friends nearby. They are both social and educational events. Others are run by art tutors for which there will be a fee.
Starting times vary but for local venues its about 10:30a.m.. Finish times vary as well but very often there is a Pub nearby and so make a day of it!!
Do come along and join us to paint in company and enjoy inspiring locations. We will start each day at 10.30. If you need any further information ring Sandra Morris (023 8028 2344)

2008 PROGRAM
Thursday April 17th

So much to paint! Views of the priory, the river, swans, people, an ornate bandstand and interesting houses should provide inspiration for everyone. Meet at Wick car-park (parking fee).

KEYHAVEN
Quayside, views of Hurst Castle, The Island, boats and tidal creeks. From Everton turn left to Milford then left in the village to Keyhaven. Meet in the car park opposite the Gun Inn ( excellent crab sandwiches and pate!)

Saturday 14th June

AN URBAN GARDEN.
Come and paint in my garden. Palms, bamboo, willow, archways and planters ( plus the odd scruffy corner) and a back view of the red-brick Edwardian building. Sorry no parking available. Park near Community Centre, cross High Street, turn right at the traffic-lights down Romsey Rd, then first right, down Wellands Rd to number 12 (red door). Enter by side gate. Coffee and cakes included . Please ring Thursday or Friday, if you intend to come,as ten or twelve is about the limit. (023 80282344).

Tuesday 8th July

THE PORTUGESE FIREPLACE.
A quiet bit of forest. Nothing spectacular but the unusual fireplace and pleasant woodland. Should appeal to those who enjoy the trees. For others there is a bridge and stream at Millyford Bridge where we park. Leave Lyndhurst on the Christchurch road, turn right opposite the Swan to Emery Down. At Emery Down take the first left turn after the New Forest Inn and continue straight until you see the Millyford Bridge car park on your right.

Saturday 19th July

PUTTLES BRIDGE, BROCKENHURST.
Shade, a winding stream, a variety of trees overhanging deep pools, bridges. A lovely place to paint. From Brockenhurst take the Rhinefield Road. Leaving the village the road crosses a plain and dips to cross Oberwater bridge. Turn right into Puttles Bridge car park.

Wednesday 6th August

PARK PALE , LYNDHURST.
A high sandy bank of typical gorse and birch, a nearby horse-trough, the small thatched cricket pavilion, views of Bolton's Bench and some attractive houses beyond the road all easily seen within a few yards of the car park. Also there are sure to be ponies and cattle. Take the Southampton road out of Lyndhurst and opposite the fire-station turn right onto the Beaulieu Road. Pass the Bolton's Bench car park and a little way on turn left into the next car park at Park Pale.
